F-18 Pressure Transmitter Set (PTS)

The Pressure Transmitter Set (PTS) for the F/A-18E/F is connected to the aircraft pitostatic system and provides frequency outputs proportional to the measured pressures. 

These signals are then processed and converted to digital signals, which are transmitted to the aircraft Flight Control Computer.

The MTI design:

• Maintains legacy Form, Fit, Function and Interface.
• Improves Mean-Time Between Failure (MTBF).
• Reduces assembly weight and power consumption.
• Provides a full Technical Data Package (TDP).

MTI was the prime contractor for this multi-year development contract and managed an Integrated Product Team (IPT) that included Boeing and the USN.
